What is MIOPIA?

The MIOPIA 2025 event will be held in Joensuu on 12.3.2025. It is a business and student-focused event that brings together the ICT and retail industries, startups, creative professionals, regional developers, and passionate individuals.

MIOPIA is an official SOHJO side-event, concentrating on three critical themes: Technology, Digital Customer, and Students. MIOPIA aims to strengthen Joensuu’s position as a digital and innovation hub.

The event offers attendees a compact yet engaging program featuring inspiring keynote speakers, a company stand area for networking with students and talents, and a dedicated networking session for companies.

Digital Customer

The Digital Customer theme highlights an often-overlooked topic in many industries: effectively reaching customers through digital channels to drive business growth.

Students

Joensuu is home to over 20,000 students, including many international and exchange students, representing a vital resource for the growth of Joensuu and the North Karelia region.
